As part of San Antonio Startup Week, Mixtli and The Down Market have partnered to present a Kumo pop-up event. The event will highlight one of the unique culinary experiences available here in San Antonio, and takes place on Monday, Oct. 17th, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Mixtli is a restaurant specializing in Mexican cuisine with a revolving menu that highlights various dishes and ingredients from across Mexico. The Down Market is a digital magazine that focuses on creativity and culture in the San Antonio area.
This pop-up event will feature an exclusive menu curated by Kumo, in the spirit of omakase food service, or chef’s choice. Utilizing seasonal ingredients and exploring contemporary Mexican gastronomy, the dishes served at this pop-up will give attendees the chance to taste food from James Beard Nominees, Chef Rico Torres and Chef Diego Galicia.
“We were inspired to show our support to SASW and to be part of the energy it brings to the city. So Mixtli teamed up with Symbio Hush to bring back a Vintage Kumo pop-up! Kumo is Mixtli’s omakase concept born in the last few months at the old train car. This rare popup is brought to you by its original members, Chefs Rico Torres, Diego Galicia, Alexana Cabrera, and Melissa Valenzuela,” said Chef Rico Torres.
